Locally owned and operated, The Front Porch has come to the Gallatin Valley Mall from Eureka, Montana. The Front Porch is a local shop offering a variety of country home décor. Owner Michelle Peterson lives and breathes for local businesses. She is passionate about ensuring her customers receive quality products at a reasonable price. Offering everything from books and kitchen towels to bedding and dining tables, Michelle’s mission is to personally attend to each customer to make their house feel like home.

The Front Porch offers a range of styles from farmhouse country to mountain flavor, with a price range Michelle labels as “fair”. With three children and her husband all currently attending college, having a shop that serves families like her own is something she is very conscious of. She strives to have something for everyone, no matter what their shopping budget looks like. Owning The Front Porch is something she truly loves, and for eight years she has gone the extra mile to serve local communities. She believes while having a local store is important, being part of a great local community, like Bozeman, to support them is equally as important.

When asked why she was excited to join the GVM family, Michelle told us it was a new experience for her. Previously located in a free-standing store, having a store in the mall she says, "makes you feel like you're not all in it by yourself”. After living in metropolitan Boston and then small-town Eureka, Michelle appreciates the “balance” of the Bozeman retail market.

The Front Porch is one of many local businesses that are a part of GVM’s Specialty Leasing Program. This incubator program allows small businesses to lease with more flexible agreement terms, while enjoying the same opportunities as national tenants. Currently, 25% of GVM retailers are locally owned.

The Front Porch is located near the Food Court next to The Children’s Place and Hot Topic.

See you at the Porch!
